When it comes to makeup, eyeliners will always be a trending sensation. While the winged liner will always be a classic favourite, it is almost done to death this year.
However, if you are feeling experimental, you will have plenty of inspiration from the fall runways. Check out these latest beauty trends that will not only help you flex your artistic muscles but also make you stand out from the crowd:
Mixed Finishes: If you are indecisive of the eyeliner you want, then the mixed finish is the choice for you. You can combine a crisp liquid liner on the top, with a smudgy pencil liner on the bottom. It offers the perfect combination of elegant pinup and cool rocker.
Golden Underline: This is one of the modern beauty trends that has taken over the fashion industry. A bit of gold or bronze liner is used to draw a thin line along the bottom lashes, to illuminate your eyes. To give it a soft finish, you can smudge it downwards.
Spaced Lines: The spaced line eyeliner is best for a chic look. You can get this look by applying thin strokes on your upper lash line and on the bottom line. Be careful not to connect them. What makes this look a popular one is that it gives you a wider and more awake look.
Flared and Bright: If you want to try out a different option than the classic cat eyes, you must try out the funk yet glam beauty trends sported by several rock musicians in the 70’s and 80’s. All you need to do is swipe a steak of opaque and matt across your eyes. Don’t forget to leave the rest of your face bare. Experiment with different colours to know what brings out your best features.
Double wing: Looking for a bit of the 60’s London flair? The double wing cat eyes isa perfect choice. Only here, you don’t have to put one wing, but two. Separate the two with a white eyeliner.
Shimmering jewel tones: Who doesn’t like a bit of shimmer now and then? A gorgeous butterfly inspired look is one way to wear colours on your eyes. While the blue and green combination may be the ideal choice, you can also opt for a combination of burgundy, purple and bronze shades.
Ombre Blue: Line your waterline with a gradient liner that begins with white then transitions to a bright blue to rock an everlasting trend. Opt for a slightly bare lash and soft pink lips to keep this look subtly bold.
Thick Underline: Typically, a bottom only liner can make you look tired, or even dated. But if you keep it crisp, with the rest of your face not overly made up, it looks beautiful.
Burgundy Over Gold: Throw in a shimmery burgundy, as it makes any eye colour stand out. Apply it over a gold eyeshadow for an extra shimmer, especially if you want to go glamorous in the evening.
